About Ayurva Academy – Your Path to Success
Ayurya Academy has been operating for over twenty years. We initially ran addiction rehabilitation clinics in England and Thailand. Whilst running these clinics we also regularly undertook management and training consultancy for other treatment providers and statutory providers.
About Ayurva Academy
It was felt that Brexit did not fit with the long-term hopes, plans and aspirations of Ayurva Academy, as we had plans to open a number of addiction rehabilitation clinics across Europe.
Instead, over the past six years we have offered quality therapeutic services and training courses to clients across Europe and the UK and thus and we are quickly establishing ourselves as a centre of excellence in the therapy training world.
Our mission at Ayurva Academy is to educate and inspire our students through up-to-date, innovative and ethically grounded training. This ensures our students reach their goals and aspirations to become competent and knowledgeable therapists who practice with integrity, empathy, and respect for their clients’ well-being.

A Vision that Became a Reality
What started in 2024 as a single hypnotherapy course and some CPD’s has blossomed into a dynamic community of students, practitioners, and tutors. Since we started, we have expanded our course to include hypnotherapy, counselling, psychotherapy, supervisor training and CPD’s. All being comprehensive certificate and diploma programmes with accreditation.
In developing these courses we have ensured we address the evolving needs of psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and counsellors. Be them student or qualified and those with a shared interest and passion in mental health and psychology.
Our journey to date reflects our commitment to listening, reviewing, adapting, and collaborating with our dedicated professional tutors, leading experts, and students.

Blackpool is located on the Lancashire coast with the Irish Sea. It goes without saying that it is one of the UK’s most vibrant, creative and welcoming towns with an extensive history. It has an inclusive, exciting and energetic vibe, that makes it the bright perfect backdrop to your training.
There is so much to see and do in Blackpool. With its world-famous Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens and Pleasure Beach to its eclectic mix of shops, markets, arts and music scene as well as the numerous festivals and shows. Not forgetting the vast variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.
After a stimulating day of learning, you can relax with a gentle stroll along the sandy beach or prom, or you could visit a show or festival. If you do wish to do that, you can simply visit one of the many restaurants either in Blackpool or one of the local neighbouring towns such as St Annes or Lytham which are located a short drive along the Fylde Coast.

Our Practitioner courses are recognised by a number of professional organisations in the UK and Europe. Ayurva Academy is approved as an NCFE centre.

Words from our Founder.
As the founder of Ayurva Academy I have often been asked by others, ‘What is Ayurva Academy?’ and ‘How is Ayurva Academy different from all the other therapy training providers?’ I feel it best to answer these questions is by sharing my vision of the Ayurva Academy when I set it up.
Ayurva Academy as it stands now has been a long held vision, rooted in many years of experience and passion for integrative therapy training. Plans for the academy were well underway when the pandemic arrived, pausing progress temporarily. As restrictions eased, I took on a training contract with another provider, but quickly decided to end the contract due to fundamental differences in quality and ethics and realising how great the potential of Ayurva Academy could be.
I, myself, was trained at Metanoia, in Ealing London in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. Back then, Metanoia was a specialist counselling and psychotherapy training establishment, often regarded by many in the field of mental health treatment as one of the best in the UK. Its physical environment is a detached Victorian house that has a feeling of ‘therapy’ and ‘quality’ as soon as you walk through the big black front door. As Ayurva Academy is a European wide academy, I have always wanted two physical schools – which we have – one in Lancashire England and the other in Pavlikeni Bulgaria.
I have always wanted both to have the same feeling I got as a student when I studied at Metanoia – that feeling of quality, emotional growth and the recognition of the journey we all undertake to become a therapist. One other thing that Metanoia left me with is the fond memory of the student library. Book shelves full of counselling, psychotherapy, self-help and hypnotherapy books. We have a physical library and the online student hub so our students get to experience the same.
I have always insisted on Ayurva Academy to be more than a ‘one trick pony’. Unfortunately, many training providers only offer a single course with a singular or narrow viewpoint. At Ayurva Academy. we offer a variety of quality therapy courses that offer our students a learning environment that will enable them to ultimately become competent, experienced and knowledgeable therapist, with the confidence to go out in to the real world. These courses are delivered in a supportive, and fun environment that recognises that to become a ‘good therapist’ it is a journey of personal growth.
Becoming a therapist involves understanding the emotional and psychological issues of individuals, and helping them grow and develop coping skills which is very rewarding, and often a privilege to be part of. Yet, the process of becoming a therapist involves much more than just taking a course in hypnotherapy or counselling, or gaining an array of certificates. It’s a journey for you as the trainee therapist.
This journey is a path and the path to becoming a therapist should not be straightforward. It requires dedication, hard work, and a commitment to your own continuous personal growth. Many academy’s enable you to only pursue the necessary accreditations. They only teach you the ‘how to’ not the ‘who are you’ and ‘who are you becoming’. Yet, here at Ayurva Academy we recognise that becoming a therapist is a journey of transformation, not just professionally, but personally. A path of self-discovery, where you will develop a unique relationship with your true self.
When our students first start their training, our tutors often ask them to write a journal about themselves, and their reasons for wanting to become counsellors, hypnotherapists or psychotherapists. Everyone has differing reasons for wanting to make a profession from ‘listening’ and so they begin their journals and many are surprised at what they write. So, when our students have completed their training through us, they, as a therapist, bring to their practice not only professional expertise but also a deep empathy and understanding born of personal experience and their journey of growth and change.
I tell my students that all therapy is fundamentally about “talking and being heard”. Yet, for many of us in life it can be very rare that we will be able to really speak about our innermost self, and know that the person we speak to truly hears us. Here at Ayurva Academy we recognise that to be able to understand others, we must firstly learn to understand ourselves. In doing this we ensure that the therapist/client relationship remains very special, and it is this that we teach our students.
